The latest Counterpoint Research reports that Xiaomi has joined the elite club of Samsung and Apple. The number of Xiaomi phone users has exceeded 500,000,000 units.
The Xiaomi a great year in 2021. Both global smartphone shipments and market share reached a record high, with global smartphone shipments reaching 190 million units, an annual growth of 30%.
In the high-end market in 2021, Xiaomi also shipped high-end smartphones for RMB 3000 ~ $163,000 or more. In China and overseas with a price tag of at least €300, units shipped exceeded 24 million units, doubling from 2020. Among them, overseas shipments of high-end smartphones priced at or above 300 EUR increased by more than 1,60% year-on-year.
According to Counterpoint, Xiaomi has successfully entered a large part of the global market, the elite club that only Samsung and Apple have been in so far. This represents 500 million active devices worldwide.
