Xiaomi has started something new with the launch of the POCOPHONE brand, a phone which quite divides fans. A new brand or only a new line? We are not sure yet but it has made a splash with its speed and price. One interesting thing is that it has a new interface whose look does not differ from the original MIUI but it does in its operation. The POCO Launcher is the mix of MIUI and Stock Android. The MIUI comes with a new application drawer that is the apps are not placed on the home screen but in a sliding application storage as in the Android system. I showed it to you at POCO F1 Hands-On video:

I have not said any new information so far but it has been available for download only via Play Store and only with beta label. However, in the past few days it has been updated to the Stable version which I recommend to everyone.

It has been installed by more than half a million users  and it is quite popular. Poco F1 users have had time to get used it but for simple MIUI users it can be strange and unusual. Applications can be organised in many different categories by type, name, colour etc and there is a separate search engine. It is worth having it a try…
